Bandai had a media event at Toy Fair 2014 for the Power Rangers.  The focus for Bandai and the Power Rangers was two fold in 2014.  On one hand there’s the new Super Mega Force line.  And on the other, the collector based line for classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers expands.

Starting with the Super Mega Force line, for 2014, Bandai is releasing over 30 of the basic 5 inch figures.

What makes the Super Mega Force line really special, though?  Legendary Ranger Keys.  As they made us repeat several times during the media event, Legendary Ranger KeysUnlock the Power”.  This upcoming season of the Power Rangers features ALL the Power Rangers.  I’m talking every variation of the Rangers in it’s 21 year history will be represented this season with these Legendary Ranger Keys.  For the completist in you, there’s a total of 60 keys for all 20 seasons of the Rangers.  Good luck in getting them all.

And what are you going to do with all these keys?  Well…that’s what the new Morpher is for!  What would the Power Rangers be without role playing?  Insert the Legendary key into the Morpher to activate different lights and sounds.  But, that’s not all Bandai has in store.  There’s new masks, swords and blasters, too!

Bandai is also releasing a line of 6.5 inch Battle Double Action Figures to complement the basic line.  Double action, because they both swing AND slash!

For the collectors, there’s new figures, Zords and weapons based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.   This is serious stuff.  The Zords featuring die cast parts and the Dragon Dagger is even plated in 24k gold!

2014 is the year to “Unlock the Power”!
