Toy Fair 2014: Kotobukiya

Rounding out our Toy Fair coverage for 2014 is Kotobukiya. They may be last, but they are by no means least. Robert Paske was kind enough to give us a detailed walk around their showroom, starting with…

Kotobukiya’s ArtFX+ line. The line expands into Marvel Now! territory with new Avengers statues. Based on the artwork running through current Marvel books, the line features all your favorite Avengers: Cap, Hawkeye, Thor, Black Widow. They even had a prototype Iron Man on display.

The ArtFX+ line also continues on the DC side of the universe, with Supergirl being available in stores now, Nightwing in early Spring and Batgirl coming later this year.

Kotobukiya also had on display an awesome 1/10^th scale Batman statue from Batman: Arkham Origins. Wait til you see this thing. In keeping with the ArtFX+ line , it featured switchout hands to pose the statue as you see fit.

And let’s not forget Star Wars! For those of us into army building, Kotobukiya is releasing Stormtrooper two packs, both “sand” and “regular” Stormtroopers. Unfortunately for me, my pics didn’t turn out so well. But, Kotobukiya was kind enough to provide us with promotional images. The figures come with additional parts so you can set them up in 3 alternate poses.

Kotobukiya’s über popular Bishoujo shows no signs of stopping for 2014. The line crosses across all the major properties: DC, Marvel, Star Wars…even getting into the horror genre with gender bending/Rule 63 Freddy v Jason statue artwork that was shown.
