With Special Guest Tom Raney

Hero Initiative, the charity that helps comic book creators in medical and financial need, will hit the Phoenix Comicon at the Phoenix Convention Center from June 2-5.

Hero’s booth, AA1200, will be the ONLY place you can find artist Tom Raney, best known for his work on titles such as Alpha Flight, Thor, Ultimate X-Men and more. He will be sketching and signing all weekend, with proceeds benefiting Hero Initiative, so do the right thing and come on by!

And top creators Arthur Adams, Kurt Busiek, Joyce Chin, Chad Hardin, Phil Hester, Dan Jurgens, John Layman, Jae Lee, Ron Marz, Mike Mayhew, Brian and Kristy Miller, Whilce Portacio, Brian Pulido, Norm Rapmund, Stan Sakai, and Ben Templesmith will all be collecting donations for Hero as well! Swing by on them and say “hi!”

About The Hero Initiative

The Hero Initiative is the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated strictly to helping comic book creators in need. Hero Initiative creates a financial safety net for yesterday’s creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and an avenue back into paying work. It’s a chance for all of us to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

Since its inception, The Hero Initiative has had the good fortune to grant over $950,000 to the comics’ veterans who have paved the way for those in the industry today. For more information, visit www.heroinitiative.org or call 626-676-6354.
