Los Angeles, 57 years into the new Ice Age. Cold, Dark, and the perfect setting for this issue of Frostbite.

Keaton, struggling with the murder of Victoria’s father, leads her team through the city in search of a new snow transport and supplies to complete her job and take Victoria to develop the cure for the Frostbite contagion. Not only would a cure help to save the dwindling population all over the world, it is also the only thing that will save Keaton’s life. The question is, will they make it in time for her to be cured or will she end up another macabre ice sculpture in the wasteland?  No matter what happens, it won’t stop her from being the captain she needs to be now.

A deal that Barlow lines up for a new transport goes south and we see exactly what the captain is made of. Luckily for the the crew, Victoria also has a few skills to bring to the table as she demonstrates exactly how useful she is to have around.  With nothing but open ice and a clear path to their destination, what could go wrong?

I am honestly at a loss for words for this book. It isn’t quite original or unheard of, not even close to the first of its kind, but the beautiful variety of post-apocalyptic world, gritty violent encounters at every turn, and the ever looming threat of the Frostbite contagion makes this a captivating and skilfully developed book that will keep me coming back to every single issue. One of the only 10/10 comics I have come across. This is a must read story!
