School is in and the gang is back together how will they react to olives new roommate Amy?

This issue begins with a lost girl wandering Gotham Academy’s creepy hallways looking for her dorm the lights go out and a mysterious figure offers to help her find her way.

Next, we see a bright eyed and bushy tailed Maps bursting into Olive’s dorm excited about school starting only for Olive to shush her because Amy is still sleeping,  the mention of Amy is obviously a sore point for Maps and Olive has to remind her that she didn’t ask for a new roommate. Amy wakes as Maps leaves and is a bit less of a morning person and certainly less cheery about school.

In class Olive is trying to get Amy into the Detective club as she doesn’t have any friends as yet but Pom isn’t keen. Maps reveals she has skipped a year and is now in the same class as them and immediately gets suspicious when the usual teacher is off for ‘personal reasons”

Cut to the canteen and a meeting of the Detective club kicked off by Maps unveiling action figures she has had made of the entire team over the holidays. Unusually for Gotham Academy mysteries are scarce so the team decides to spend the evening digging for something juicier than why is the menu vegetarian only. Olive dampens the mood by mentioning her plans with Amy and the meeting breaks up with Maps dejectedly walking away but not before making Eric’s day by giving him his own figure.

While Eric is dumbstruck over his gift Pom notices the Arkham logo he has been drawing and confronts him about it with a revelation I did not see coming.

Creepy mysterious lady struck again when the lights go out while Evan is getting ready for his tennis lesson and when he doesn’t show Kyle gets worried especially after hearing that quite a lot of kids have gone missing recently.

Maps heads out to put up posters advertising the Detective club and runs into kids putting up posters for witches club but they completely blank her including Evan. She meets Kyle who when he finds out Evan was there heads off hot on the trails of the witches only to come to a cropper when he catches up with them. Maps catches up with Kyle and finds him unconscious but instead of going for help she goes after the witches on her own. Once Kyle wakes he races to the school and rallies the troops, they have to find Maps

Before its too late!

A lot of mysterious stuff going on here!  Pom is hiding something and I don’t trust Amy one bit, she seems to have an issue with Maps, I’m keeping my eye on her.

I love a mystery and I like helping the team figure it out over the issues. My main downside with this comic is having to wait a month for the next one.
