Some things never change but in the world of the Walking dead if it does change then it changes everything!!

How to write a Spoiler free review of the season premiere when all I want to do is tell you all the awesome things that happen!! I love the comics and have been waiting for certain bits to happen or certain key phrases to be said and there are a few in this episode that avid comic followers will love. That being said my absolute favourite bit of the whole episode comes right at the end which is quite a bit different from the comics but absolutely game changing!!

If you waited til after the credits on the season finale you would have seen the mysterious boot appear in Alexandria, this episode begins the same night but only adds to the mystery of the boot owner! There is no mystery as to Gregory’s position in this new world, firmly under his desk with his fingers in his ears, he is still being a complete tool but it paves the way for Maggie to begin to fulfill her comic book stature so I can forgive him.

Rick, Michonne and the others who left for the Hilltop are still campaigning for help to take down The Saviours with varying degrees of success as always seems to be the case but their travels do lead them to quite a significant discovery and one of the most amazing ways to take on multiple walkers at once and live to tell the tale.

Abrahams death has really affected Rosita and she pulls no punches in this episode taking every opportunity to speak her mind making it clear how she feels and stepping up without hesitation when called for.

I may be slightly biased as I’m a massive fan of both the show and the comics but this episode has some real edge of the seat moments and I may have swore out loud more than twice at some of the characters actions and some of the scenes that had me really question if any of the characters are truly safe!

The season premiere has it all action, humour, tension, gore and all leading up to what looks like all out war with The Saviours if Rick can get his plan off the ground that is!

Boxes are filling and thanks to the digital age we live in so is the harddrive! I love finding a new comic to obsess over and rediscovering old comics to immerse myself in from the very first issue.
