Just a little tease!

Touring the DC Collectibles booth at Toy Fair is just always something I look forward too. The products get better and better every year. This year, at the end of the tour, I was asked a question. Wonder Woman or Harley Quinn. Well, I don’t know about you, but as much as I love Wonder Woman, I like a bad girl more. So I said Harley Quinn. Imagine my surprise when I was presented with DC Designer Series Ant Lucia Harley Quinn action figure.

For those of you that are not familiar with what this is, it’s an action figure based on the DC Bombshell line. The DC Bombshells were created by artist Ant Lucia, and they are inspired by the 1940’s nose cone art that used to be on bomber planes. DC saw Lucia art and started to base statues on them. They became hugely popular, which led to other merchandising such as T-shirts, posters, playing cards, and of course a comic book. Even cosplayers are dressing up like the Bombshell.

Well DC Collectibles took the concept to the next obvious level: A line of action figures. The actual figures don’t hit comic shops until March 15th, so I pretty much got a sneak peak.

Now let me say off the bat, Harley I received didn’t come with any accessories. The regular version will have accessories, so don’t you worry about that.

This figure is amazing. The sculptors really captured Lucia artwork, while incorporating a full range of motion here. Almost like a poseable statue.

It’s little touches from the creases and folds in Harley’s jacket to the goggles on her head. Very impressive.

The paint apps are really nice clean. Brighter colors were used so everything really pops. On mine, there was no paint splash.

Of course, this figure is just a taste of things to come. But as it stands right now, I can’t wait until the full line of DC Designer Series Ant Lucia Action Figures come out!
