I was able to get a copy of the Static Shock for the DVD Season 1,  I had read the comic and seen the show when it first came out.  This brought back a lot of memories from my childhood.

The DVD extra had  Map of Dakota (which shows every battle or place that static shock has been), Static’s Gadgets (which shows all his Gadgets from the show), Front page bios (which talks about static friends and family) and Static Shock: bad guy beatdown (a flash game where you choose how to beat the bad guys).  I will get more in depth about the specials.

Now about the DVD itself.   This was a 2 discs 13 episode which was great seeing again.  These are the name of the Episodes from the seasons are called: “Shock to the System” (How Static got his powers) “Aftershock” (the first villain Static fights), “The Breed” (the first group of super or Meta Villains), “Grounded”, “They’re Playing My Song”, “The New Kid”, “Child’s Play”, “Sons of the Fathers” (this one was my favorite because it dealt with racism), “Winds of Change”, “Bent Out of Shape”, “Junior” (another great episode about how fathers impact sons), “Replay”, “Tantrum”( I felt this was a rip-off of the hulk ).

Now about those special on the DVD: Map of Dakota (which shows every battle or place that static shock has been), Static’s Gadgets (it shows static clothes and what’s it made of, Static Saucer and what’s it made of, Shock box and what’s it made of, Static Gloves and what’s it made of and some of the ways Static uses his powers), Front Page Bios ( this talks about Virgil Hawkins aka Static Shock, Ritchie Foley aka Gears, F-Stop aka Hot Streak, Rubberband Man, Derek Barnett aka Destruct, Ebon, The rest of the Meta-Breed Shiv and Talon, Daisy Watkins, Frieda Goren and Sharon Harkins I wish the dads were put in the Bios page too. ) and Static Shock: bad guy beatdown (a flash game where you choose how to beat the bad guys).

I love this cartoon I hope to get more season of Static shocks especially the ones with the Justice League or with Batman Beyond in it.  The game is not bad but instead, could have done interviews with the cast of the show instead of the game.  Another point is instead of the map of Dakota do how Static was created and how it affected the DC Animated Universe.
