We open up on Selene on the run from both the vampires and the Lycan (werewolves). In the last film, Underworld: Awakening, Selene was still looking for Michael and had to hide her daughter, Eve. She is joined by the vampire David, who Selene saved.The vampires are convinced to ally themselves with Selene again, only to be betrayed by one of their own. Meanwhile, the new Lycan leader Marius is trying to capture Selene for his own needs. Having no other choice, Selene and David run to the Nordic Coven of vampires.

I am a huge fan of the original Underworld, but sequel after sequel, this franchise, just keeps getting worse. I found this film just all over the place. Too many plot lines going on, and not connect well at all.
The special effects were subpar as well. The Lycans looked horrible. Like bad costumes. I’ve seen some TV shows with better effects.
Honestly, I really don’t see the point in making sequels sometimes. I understand on an intellectual level. Hollywood is a business and they want to make a profit. But none of the sequels of Underworld did that well at the box office.
Sometimes it’s better to leave a film with an open ending then force sequels.
I have to admit, I did enjoy the extras on the DVD, but overall I just can’t recommend this film. I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn’t.
