Orphan Black returns for its final season and hits the ground running!

At the end of season 4, Alsion, Donnie, and Helena were hiding in the woods for safety. A slowly dying Cosima was brought to a mysterious village by her ex-Delphine. And Sara, who was gravely injured in a fight with Rachel, was on the run. Trapped on the island. Things look grim, but the sisters have a way of pulling it together.

It was only the first episode and already a lot of questions are starting to be answered.  Or at least, leading to those answers. It’s a shame that the show is ending, but at least they are wrapping everything up. Not leaving things hanging. There’s a lot going on in this episode, but not so much that it get convoluted.

Once again Tatiana Maslany proves why she won an Emmy. In this episode the changes in personalities with the clones is seamless. I swear she should be nominated again this year. Of course, it’s Jordan Gavaris as Felix and Kristian Bruun as Donnie who really steal the show. These two are just over the top, but it really works.

Fans of the show are really going to happy with this return, but at the same time sad that this is the last season. But like I always say, better to out on top then “jump the shark.”

Orphan Black season 5 premieres this Saturday, June 1oth, on BBC AMERICA at 10 PM EST.
