Batman and Flash race to get the Mother Box in this amazing set from LEGO

With the Justice League film coming out in November, it’s no shock that LEGO would give us some great playset. LEGO was nice enough to send me the Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack set (76086). I’m not sure if this is an actual scene from the film, but none the less this set is wonderful.

The set consists of 622 pieces. It took me about 2 hours to build it all. I probably could have knocked it out in an hour, if I didn’t have a certain five-year-old asking every five minutes: “Is it done yet, Daddy? Is it done yet?” Still, like all LEGO sets the directions were clear, concise, and easy to follow.

It comes with four minifigures: Batman, Flash, and two Parademons. I think Batman is an all new deco. I can’t say for sure as I don’t have anything to compare it too. But is it really bad to have more than one Batman? Batman comes with a grappling gun and Batarang. The Flash was impressive. I love the fact they gave his helmet that kind of point in the back that makes it look like a bicycle helmet. He comes with two Power Blasts which I assume is supposed to be lightning. The Parademons each come with two sets of wings, so you can have the wings fully extended or retracted. The wings are made from a very durable plastic, so I don’t see them ripping anytime soon if I want to keep switching them around.  The Parademons each has a blaster that can fire round LEGO.

There is also a Mother Box. It’s just some flat plates stacked together, but it’s still a nice touch.

The Knightcrawler itself is extremely impressive. It only holds one figure, but then the Flash would probably run beside it anyhow.  The legs are adjustable to get into those hard to reach areas. So you can have it go low or high, depending on what it comes across. It also has dual 6-stud rapid shooters so you can blast those Parademons back to Apokolips. And on the bad are two hooks to hold Batman’s gun and Batarang.

Bottom line, this is an awesome playset. There’s lots of playability here, especially with the right amount of imagination.

Knightcrawler Tunnel Attack is available at most retailers and online at the LEGO store. It retails for around $49.99.

Many thanks to LEGO for giving me a chance to review this set.
