Round 2 of Muppets Selects!
Looks like I’m a little late to the party. Somehow I missed out on Muppet Select Action Figures Series 2, but Diamond Select awesome enough to hook me up.
This time around we get:
- Animal
- Bunsen & Beaker
- Statler & Waldorf
Once again, an amazing amount of articulation here. They all have about 13 POA. All the figures are very easily poseable and can stand on their own.
First up is Animal. Seriously an amazing amount of detail here. I love the fact it even comes with the chain around his neck. His mouth opens and closes. He has two drumsticks that fit nice and securely in his hands. He also has a full drum set. This is a great accessory here. It’s a full set with even a stool and kick drum pedal. The pedal actually works too! Forgive my set up of the drum kit, but I’m not a musician and have no clue how it should look. When Animal is behind the set, it just looks awesome.
Next is Bunsen & Beaker. Again an amazing amount of detail here, right down to the pocket protector in Bunsen’s lab coat. Both are wearing lab coats and they are flexible to not hinder the range of motion. They come with different science accessories. Beakers, test tubes, mortar and pestle, telephone, and a clipboard with some type of notes on it. Both figures can hold all the accessories without any difficulty.
Finally is the pièce de résistance: Statler & Waldorf. The two hecklers are not only amazing sculpts, but they come with this incredible baloney box seat piece. This is just incredible. It comes in three pieces, but extremely easy to put together. Plus it comes with two seats for Statler and Waldorf to sit in. And they sit very easily in the seats. I swear I seriously just want to hang it on the wall, it looks that amazing. Statler and Waldorf have an amazing amount of detail and just look great.

Series 2 is an excellent addition. Perfect for every Muppet fan!
You can still find series 2 at your local comic shops or you can buy it directly from Diamond Select. And don’t miss out like I did. Series 1 and 3 are still available.
Plus coming this fall is series 4, which includes Sam the Eagle, Rizzo the Rat, Dr. Teeth, Zoot and the Swedish Chef.
