New York Comic Con announced today that it will kick off its first evening with a panel featuring Keanu Reeves and the team behind “Replicas,” a new sci-fi thriller starring Reeves, Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley), and Alice Eve (Star Trek Into Darkness).

In addition to starring, Reeves produced the film with his producing partner, Stephen Hamel, and Transformers-franchise producer, Lorenzo di Bonaventura. The film is written by Chad St. John (London Has Fallen) and directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (writer of The Day After Tomorrow). The film is currently in post-production.

Replicas is the story of a scientist (Reeves) who loses his family in a horrific accident, but is determined save his wife and children by bringing them back to life with cutting-edge cloning technology.

Reeves, Hamel, Nachmanoff and other special guests will be present at New York Comic Con on Thursday, October 5 from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM in Room 1A06, to discuss the film and its production, and scenes from the film will be screened publicly for the first time ever.

Reeves made an appearance at last year’s New York Comic Con in front of a sold-out crowd for his hit film, John Wick: Chapter 2.
