New Jersey Comic Expo returns!

Ah, the New Jersey Comic Expo. I have to tell you how much it nice to get back to the small cons after dealing with New York Comic Con.

New Jersey Comic Expo takes place at the New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center in Edison and it’s a great venue. It’s a great space with plenty of room to move around. It’s definitely the smartest things they have done. There was a good size crowd, but it never felt like it. Breathing room is important.

NJCE is more focused on comic books, which personally I love. There were some big names that were there like Scott Lobdell, Gail Simone, Keith Giffen and a lot more. At a con like this, the guests are a lot more accessible than larger cons.

Some great cosplayers as well. Always nice to see them.

And this con is very family oriented. Liberty Science Center has a section that used superheroes to help them explain science to kids. My son participated in a presentation on electricity. Other sections were trying to pick up Thor’s hammer, mini robots, and 3D printers. Some pretty cool stuff.

Every year I do look forward to New Jersey Comic Expo and this year didn’t disappoint at all. Many thanks to the staff. Great job as always.

I can’t wait until next year!
