With Issue 7, we near the conclusion of the Batman White Knight miniseries from DC Comics. What a pity, as it’s a great read!

As regular readers of the series know, The Joker has reformed himself. Controlled and sane while on strong meds, he has an agenda: get Batman, but make it happen legally, with the support of Gotham City Hall. However, cracks are starting to appear in the plan: a Neo-Joker has appeared, organizing the criminals in Gotham, and paralyzing the city. What will Batman do to gain control again? And can he do it without the support of others?

The writing is clean and crisp, the dialogue flows like it’s ‘supposed to’, and we are enthralled by the visual encyclopedia of writer/artist Sean Murphy. With colors by Matt Hollingsworth. This title is getting a lot of attention and praise, and deserves every single bit of it! If you are a Batman fan, you need to read this miniseries!

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
