IDW Comics continues with Sega’s most famous hedgehog in Sonic The Hedgehog on its second issue.

Since the first one seemed to be more legit from any other Sonic comics that I used to read, but going through with the series produced by IDW is another side of the dimension. This time every comic that I would see is some character team-ups like Tails and now Amy Rose. Now I know what everyone got into their minds is that what does Eggman is up to this time? Unfortunately, we don’t get to see Eggman a lot in the panels beside his robots, but thing gets a way out of hand.

I didn’t expect of all the drama going on with this Sonic’s comic for him and Rose, but Sonic is doing his usual day job to take out Eggman’s robots and saving other people’s lives. Then again, the comic depends on teamwork, I mean this isn’t Sonic Heroes, but all they want to do is to stop Dr Eggman and his robotic rampage around town. And going further from that, the story kept its usual plot between the hedgehog against a mad scientist from the old Archie Comics to the modern IDW comics.

I didn’t tell you about the art yet, so I’ll just let it all out. Adam Bryce Thomas’ art is usually more influenced on making the characters because he used to contribute to the old Sonic comics as a penciler, but then he became a contributing artist to IDW because somehow they wanted to keep the series up running for the fans. However, his art is actually more like you’re seeing the art from the old Sonic comics. Even though, the writer Ian Flynn wrote the story from over the past 20 years writing for Archie Comics. But what I’ve seen most of the professionals and amateur artists is that they like to draw the characters of Sonic the Hedgehog just for fun or just any fandom as it gets for the viewers to see. Well, that’s what I think when I saw some artists drawing Sonic these days, even art school, elementary school, everywhere. And most important of all is that they draw Sonic because they loved playing Sonic games even more from the old Sega Genesis to the modern video game consoles that you can find. If you rather follow more of these Sonic issues in the future, then this one is for you.
