It’s Ghostbusters Day. And is there a better way to celebrate than the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 from Playmobil

I know I’ve said it a tons of times, but Playmobil getting Ghostbusters license had to be one of the best things that happened to them. So far the toys have be both imaginative and close to the movies and the cartoon.

Playmobil was generous enough to send me the Ghostbuster vehicle, the Ecto-1, and it is amazing. The detail on this is extremely accurate to the real thing, with of course being a Playmobil vehicle. It has all the sensors on top, and the hatchback opens up very nicely. There are also removable rubber slime you can put just about anywhere on the car. This “slime” also clings a little so you can get the sides as well.

The Ecto-1 fits up to 4 figures with no problem. Plus there are places to hang up to 4 proton packs inside as well. To put the figures in, you simply remove the top.
The best of the play features here has to be the real working lights and sounds to give that full effect of rushing to a ghost emergency. There are 2 buttons on top you just need to push. Just remember, it does need 3 AAA batteries to run. Check out this video to see them in action:

The Ecto-1 also comes with 2 Ghostbusters: Winston Zeddemore and Janine Melnitz. They are both standard Playmobil figures, with Janine in a Ghostbuster jumper. They come with 2 proton packs with blasters, 2 proton streams, a ghost trap, and a PKE meter.

This set is just plain amazing. Playmobil really has outdone themselves this time.

The Playmobil Ghostbusters Ecto-1 is one of these toys that’s great for all ages. I could see myself keeping it in my collection, but my 6-year-old is too busy playing with it.

So get out there today and pick up an Ecto-1 and celebrate Ghostbusters Day!

The Playmobil Ghostbusters Ecto-1 is available wherever toys are sold.

Again, many thanks to Playmobil for allowing us to check this out!
