Enough is enough

Last week it was announced that actress Ruby Rose would be playing Batwoman in the upcoming CW show. 6 days later Ruby quit Twitter due to multiple attacks and death threats by “fans”.

This isn’t the first time this has happened either. Anna Diop who is playing Starfire in the live action Titans show quit Instagram due to the same thing. So did Kelly Marie Tran from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And there are more people that this has happened to.

How is any of this considered OK? This is just totally disgusting these so-called fans just attacking actors and directors just because they don’t like something. This has to stop!

Look, I’m not going to stand on my high horse and act like I don’t criticize things in pop culture I don’t like. I know I criticize things. Sometimes it does border on “Nerd Rage”, but at no time am I attacking someone directly.

I’m also not saying you need to love everything that’s pop culture. It’s OK to dislike something. It’s also OK to voice your opinion on it. But it’s not OK to start attacking people. I hate Zach Synder and Grant Morrison. People know I hate these two, but I have NEVER personally attacked them or wished them dead. Hell, when Synder dropped out of the Justice League film due to his daughter’s suicide, I felt empathy for him. I wanted Synder off the project, but not like that. But there were actually people who took sheer joy that was the reason he left. That’s sick!

Here’s the really pathetic part in all of this: The fans! These losers are armchair terrorists. They are so brave from behind the safety of their computer. You get these same people in a convention with the people they “hate” and they are sucking up big time. No backbone or sense of conviction at all.

I’ll say it again; these fans are losers. You want to be brave, do this crap face to face. Let’s really see how tough you are. We all know you’ll just cower.
