The Amazon Warrior Diana Prince Destroys the Axis Army in style.

The Bombshell Series is based on the World War 2 Pinup girls.  Many of these girls were actresses and models featured in early pages of Esquire magazine as far back as 1938. The term pin-up came from the idea of taking the models photo and pinning it up on the wall. It is also defined by the hair and makeup used for modeling purposes. Although there is controversy over this style and what it meant to women in early times there are still people today who continue the tradition.

The Series has become popular among collectors as proven with the figures and statues DC Collectibles has released to date. The newest version is the WW2 Wonder Woman Deluxe Statue.

Artist Ant Lucia designed the character, sculptor Chris Dahlberg imbued life to this statue. Limited to 5000 this won’t last long at your local comic shops if they don’t have her you can find her online at DC Collectibles. Standing at 15.90 inches on top of a defeated axis tank Wonder Woman sporting her lasso of truth and shield of protection with bouncing bullet effect she hoists her Sword in victory. Her outfit hair tie bandana, button-down collared shirt, short shorts belt, ruby red lips, and hairstyle finish it out making it feel like a bombshell from that era.

What a great design and tribute to the classic pinups. It is tasteful and empowering. If you are not a collector but enjoy the classic pinup/ bombshell this will fit comfortably into the genre. DC Collectibles shows off their belief that the Bombshell era is here to stay.

Grab Jessica Cruz’s Green Lantern and The Jokers Daughter to finish out this trio of statues.

Thank you DC Collectibles.
