If you have a Batman fan in your family then this IS the ultimate holiday must have for him or her.

First off the box is HUGE and HEAVY!! It includes 12 discs, 7 lenticular collector cards featuring scenes from the show, 3 Funko Pocket Pops! featuring Batman, Joker and Harley Quinn. Each box is marked with a limited edition number, with a total number of 69,048.

109 Episodes (OVER 35 HOURS OF BATMAN), 2 Feature Films- Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero, In-depth extras, and commentaries on 12 episodes with cast and crew. If that was not enough to win you over then the fact that each episode and the feature films are all remastered in Blu-ray quality. I can tell you that I personally fired up the “Over the Edge” episode first and OH MY was I blown away with the picture and sound quality. Then I went and put in “Mask of the Phantasm” and again I was just amazed.

The special features alone will keep you busy. I own the other DVD sets and they found a way to add new content for this Ulitmate Edition. Special Features include:

-The Dark Knight’s First Night Pilot Promo: Hosted by Bruce Timm. Fans of the series have seen this before but the commentary takes it in a new direction.

-Batman: The Legacy Continues Retrospective- Join the creators as they take you inside the thought process of how the show continued to push the envelope and grow.

-Tour of the Batcave- featuring Batman, Bat-Vehicles, Utility Belt, and Alfred.

-Robin Rising: How the Boy Wonder’s Character Evolved- THIS was a fun watch to see how they mapped out Dick Grayson’s evolution from a young ward to Robin to Nightwing.

-Gotham’s Guardians- An AWESOME look into the supporting cast that makes the Bat-family.

-Voices of the Dark Knight- Watching Mark Hamill turn into the Joker NEVER EVER gets old.

-Gotham’s New Knight- an exciting look on Batgirl’s rise in the ranks.

-Arkham Asylum: Examine the Top-Secret Case Files of the Dark Knight’s Many Foes- You get a look at 12 of Batman’s biggest rogues including Joker, Ra’s al Ghul, and Mr. Freeze.

-The Heart of Batman- This one was cool to watch as well. You got a gathering of cast and crew discussing how the animated series has influenced other series and still stays relevant to today.

-Concepting Harley Quinn- Paul Dini talks about one of his creations and how she was important to the show.

With everything you get in this set, it is worth every penny. Hours of entertainment plus you get Pop figures and lenticular cards. What more could you ask for? This set is HIGHLY recommended as a HUGE Batman fan I was thoroughly impressed!  JQ gives the Batman: The Complete Animated Series Deluxe Edition set a 10 out of 10!!!!
