Dead By Dawn! Dead By Dawn!

I can’t stand it. The more they release the more I crave. Mezco Toyz brings another cult classic to life with Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn’s Ash Williams. 1981 we were introduced to Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead which was followed by 2 more films Dead by Dawn and my personal favorite Army of Darkness. Later they reprised the character in the 3 seasoned Ash Vs Evil Dead show.

Mezco captures Bruce Campbell’s character from the second film to the T.  Included is 3 heads possessed Ash, Scarred Ash, and Bloody Ash. One set of hands. 2 different left hands, possessed hand (giving the one finger salute), and demon head are included as well. Accessories include Necronomicon Book of The Dead, “Boomstick, and Homelite Xl Chainsaw (“shop smart shop S-Mart”)  which attaches to his hand. Lastly, the stand which displays Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn on it.

As usual, the attention to detail is what makes Mezco’s designs unique.  Ash’s signature blue shirt, brown pants, and boots stand out with details down to the attachment on Ash’s shirt used to start up his chainsaw.  Ash’s Boomstick Holster looks real down to the buckles.  The only thing I can say is missing and I realize it wasn’t introduced until Army of Darkness is the S-Mart apron. The Nintendo power glove and the armored hand would have been a nice addition to the accessories. With that said we know Mezco likes exclusives could there be Army of Darkness figure in the works? I for one hope so.

As usual, I cannot complain about this figure. Even with the single jointed elbows posing is not a problem. Lately, there have been broken joints on other figures but from my view and posing this figure does not display these issues. I would still handle with caution at least until you have moved the joints at least once.  Details of scarring and blood look real even the torn shirt works well with the design. Great figure if you find him and love the Evil Dead series then grab him well worth every cent. Shop Smart Shop Mezco S-Mart.
