The Shape is back.

So, I had the chance to watch the new Halloween movie in its Blu-Ray release. It’s 40 years after the first attack in 1978 and Michael Myers is now in a mental hospital and being transfer to a maximum facility. A group of podcasters try to get an interview with him before he is transferred.

During the transfer, something happens which has Michael escape and heads back to Haddonfield to finish off his sister Laurie Strode. Laurie Strode has been planning this day since his first attack in 1978. Now I can say that this was a great sequel to the first one. Or if you want an alternate timeline where Michael was capture. I for one did like it and would like to see more movies. Especially hearing Laurie call Michael The Shape.

So, what does the Blu-Ray have as special features? There is Back in Haddonfield: making Halloween, The Original scream Queen, The sound of fear, Journey of the mask, The Legacy of Halloween. Back in Haddonfield: making Halloween is about how the new Halloween was thought of the director was chosen and the return of 2 iconic characters. The Original scream Queen is about how Jamie Lee Curtis was chosen and why she is needed for the new one. The sound of fear how the famous music made Halloween iconic and how it was adapted for a new generation. Journey of the mask How the mask was created and how it was updated. The Legacy of Halloween what made Halloween the movie that continues after all others fail.
