“Why? I’m not talking about killing Penguin or Scarecrow or Dent. I’m talking about him. Just him. And doing it because… Because he took me away from you.” –  Red Hood, from Batman: Under the Red Hood

Oh yes, DC Collectibles delivers big to their fans and collectors this year.  Continuing the Black and White line we get some great new Batman Statues.  Starting with The Batman who laughs  2nd edition statue and, Batman by Mac Silvestri statues. DC is also releasing previous Black and White statues in a smaller 7 pack version. Those who weren’t able to get previous versions this a good chance to make up for that. Each one is an exact replica of their larger versions.  Dark Metal version Statues are also on the way in with some highly detailed characters. The highlight of this line with the Batman who Laughs with his robin minions this will be a must-have.  Also revealed  Batman The Dark Night Mark Millar series statues these are exact replicas of the artwork and are beautiful. This line included Batman on a horse and a classic BVS scene. Finally, they showed off a new line of vehicle character statues. It’s as they said DC meets Mad Max. They showed off the Batman and Poison Ivy statues and had a picture of the upcoming Lobo Statue which fits perfect in this line. The highly detailed futuristic look worked well with this line. They also continue one of their more popular lines of statues Artist Alley with 4 new statues by James Groman a designer who worked on Madball toys. These are very Halloween style and unique to the line.

The Cowl line continues and includes The Batman Who Laughs from the DC Gallery.  Well designed and includes a base with name etched on front of it. Also, DC showed off prop replica of the Wonder Woman classic shield with leather straps and an updated emblem.

The Batman Animated line continues with Ghost Ghost with dynamite car, Batman with Batcycle and Red Hood which include mask and unmasked heads and Azrael Batman. This line continues to deliver great figures and playsets. Batman who comes with the Bat-Cycle is a new mold so he could fit on the bike with ease.

DC Essentials figures were the highlight of the booth. Wonder Woman Cheetah, New Joker and Batgirl, Cyborg Superman, and Supergirl, Harley Quinn and Nightwing,  and saving the best for last the long-awaited classic Red Hood figure. A wow moment for Red Hood fans this is a good looking figure for fans waiting for him to finally get the nod for production. I am betting he will be hard to find because of his popularity.

DC showed off their newest line Lucha Explosiva! The Masked Lucha Wrestling style figures include Superman Batman Wonder Woman Cheetah Metallo and Deathstroke with Steel chair with Batman’s face imprint in it.  This is an interesting line that I feel is unique to the superhero figure lines.  This should bring in new fans from the wrestling collector side.

DC joins the 9 inch world of figure with Batman as their first figure. 3 heads multiple weapons and hands not to mention all that wonderful articulation. Looks like DC is looking to raise the bar again delving into this style of figure.

DC Collectibles is always moving forward and continues to bring fan favorites to the shelves. Red Hood is a much-anticipated figure by fans and is a great sculpt for both the Essentials line and the Animated series. Personally, I am going to chase the animated line one because he comes with both masked and unmasked heads.

Thank You DC Collectibles for showing us a great as always line up of statues and figures.
