Garden State Comic Fest returns to Morristown and it was worth the wait!

Garden State Comic Fest is a New Jersey favorite. I just love this local con. Yes, it’s a smaller con, but it’s one of New Jersey’s best. I always look forward to attending and this year was just as awesome.

GSCF takes place in Mennen arena and is in 2 of the hockey rinks. There is always plenty of room to move around without blocking the isles. A really great mix of vendors as well.

Comic guests included Walter Simonson, Louise Simonson, Roy Thomas, and Billy Tucci. The lines for them were very well organized and all were very approachable. Media guests included Aaron Ashmore, Michael Bell, and Alan Oppenheimer.

Panels ranged from villains, to Stan Lee, to Jimmy Olsen. Very interesting stuff. For the kids, there were lightsaber classes,

GSCF is still one of the few cons that still realizes that it’s the comics that are the origin point of all this new pop culture explosion and they celebrate it in a big way!

Looking forward to what they bring next year!

Well, that voice has been shared and evolved into The Fanboy Factor. Brian is an advocate for remembering comic roots, and that we don't forget what was created in the past, and encourage everyone to read it as well. When not swimming in geek culture, he can be seen corrupting..introducing his young son to comics, much to his wife's chagrin.
