That’s the power of the Keyblade!

The series starts in 2002 with Kingdom Hearts, where a 14-year-old boy named Sora is separated from his friends Riku and Kairi when their home Destiny Island is consumed in darkness. At that moment Sora obtained a weapon called the Keyblade that allows him to fight the Heartless, creatures that originate from the Realm of Darkness, before ending up in another world. Multiple games have been released on multiple gaming systems the latest being Kingdom Hearts 3.

Diamond Select Toys Captures these characters in action figure form. The line includes to date Sora with Keyblade, Dusk, Soldier(shadow Character in armor), Mickey, Axel, Roxas with Oathkeeper Blade, Goofy, Goofy in Tron Outfit, Aqua with Rainfell Keyblade, Sora with Photon Debugger, Sark, Tron, Black Coat Mickey, Pete, Chip, Dale and Assassin.

This was an interesting line to review. Although I have not played the game itself I am familiar with it and the characters. Diamond Select Toys captured the likeness of all characters and the attention to detail shows. The weapons have dangling chains hanging off of them. Articulation allows for posing in many different action scenes.  These can withstand hard play by the kids only issue I had was the shoulder pad on armored goofy came off when I was removing from the package.

My favorite stand out was the black tail on Black Coat Mickey you don’t see Mickey’s tail very often. My other favorites as I am a child of the eighties paying homage to Tron. Although I would have liked to have seen him come with a disc that is removable it was not a huge need to make this another stand out character. Those were my favorites but I could not find anything wrong with any of the characters to deter me from enjoying all of them.

Once again another great line by Diamond Select Toys. Whether you are a Kingdom Hearts fan or you enjoy Mickey Mouse characters, this is a must have line for both. Thank you, DST for continuing to deliver quality figures. You can find these and more lines at your local Comic Shops and online. I recommend grabbing them before they are gone.  Price point is inexpensive and well worth the cost.
