From DC, Batman Universe #2 continues to reprint two chapters of the Walmart Giant series of Batman.

Brian Michael Bendis writes, and Nick Derington illustrates, with Dave Stewart on colour.

It’s a fun read. Batman has teamed up with Green Arrow to take down the Riddler. Well, that’s never easy, and this time there is some physical drama between Batman and Green Arrow. Something about them fighting on a rooftop! It’s truly imaginary and perhaps visionary of Bendis to bend the rules of a typical Batman story here. And it’s successful. The tale takes on a new locale, new drama, and head-scratching twists and turns. I won’t elaborate, but it’s fascinating and fast-paced.

All good, and over too soon. Check this one out; it’s a refreshing romp through new playgrounds of the imagination.

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
