Imaginext celebrates Batman’s 80th by giving us Batman through the ages!

I love Imaginext. I personally think it’s a great way to introduce characters from DC Comics to kids. There have been some really deep cuts with the character choices Mattel has made with the Imaginext line. I also know a lot of adults that collect them as well.

With Batman turning 80, one of the things Imaginext did was release this incredible 5 pack set of Batman from different eras.

This set includes:

  • Batman’s 1st appearance
  • Batman from Detective Comics #241, when he had to wear different color costumes to distract people away from Robin
  • Batman from Detective Comics #345, when Batman had to fight the hulking villain Blockbuster, but had to do it as Bruce Wayne
  • Batman from Superman/Batman #23, when Batman was possessed by an alien entity and became a Krytoptine creature
  • Batman from Forever evil #4, when he wore a ring from the Sinestro Corps.

All five figures have the 6 points of articulation you get with all Imaginext figures. The designs are really nice too. Obviously they are re-decos of past Batman figures but that’s OK. But there is little details like seeing the Sinestro ring on Batman’s hand and the cape of the 1st appearance Batman looks like bat-wings.

But don’t listen to me. Listen to what Sean has to say:

This set is a must for either kids or adults. You just need an appreciation of Batman!
