Marvel’s violent, mentally unstable and morally ambiguous ‘anti-hero’ gets the One:12 treatment!

I first became aware of Moon Knight when I saw issue 11.  A little late to the game, but I was hooked by the character. It was the combination of Doug Moench writing and Bill Sienkiewicz art that just really moved me. I went back and got the back issues and collected that first series until to the end. Through the years, Moon Knight would remain one of my favorite characters. So of course when Mezco produces a figure for their One:12 Collective, I know I had to get it, but it was the Crescent Edition that really made me fork over the cash.

While the regular Moon Knight hasn’t come out by Mezco, the Cresent Edition hit first. The first seems to be based on Declan Shalvey’s re-design from his run with Warren Ellis. White on black. It really helps the whole figure just pop.

The sculpt is really amazing. Very nice subtle details on every inch of this figure. The figure’s cloak is nicely wrapped around his neck. The hood is removable so you can see his face mask. And the head can be replaced with a second head of Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lockley/Yitzak Topol (depending on who you ask. Sorry bad joke). The second head has the mask lifted and again just incredible detail with the wounds on his face.

You get 4 sets of hands. The first one is a pair of fists. Next is a pair that are holding his crescent darts. Then a pair grappling hands. And finally a pair of gripping hands. They easily changed on the body.

In the comics, Moon Knight has a truncheon that is a multi-use weapon. Mezco did an excellent job simulating this with the figure. There is a pair of nunchucks on a chain. A longer chain with a grappling hook. Lastly a staff. Moon Knight also comes with a larger version of one of his crescent darts. Almost a moon-a-rang!

As will all One:12 figures, Moon Knight comes with a base with a peg for his foot. The peg is removable to put the adjustable stand in its place. The stand also comes with cape posers so you adjust the cape anyway you want to.

I’m so glad to have gotten this figure. This is definitely one of my favorites Moon Knight action figures!
