There is SO much going on in DC’s Action 1018. It’s all good reading though.

Metropolis is the scene of massive amounts of fighting. There is a new candidate for mayor. Clark wants to take his shirt off in public. A reporter has gone through a personal transformation but is seeing red over it all.

Brian Michael Bendis manages to write rings around the rosy red lights, the thundering dawn, the thudding of Leviathans.
John Romita Jr, with Klaus Janson on inks, and Brad Anderson on colour, is really impressive here. His layouts are sharp, the people are proportioned beautifully, and the story and pictures match seamlessly.

Not much else to say, except that this month’s Action sure has a lot of continuing action and suspense!

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
