Presentation titled “An Introduction to Will Eisner” will be led by Brian Isaacs of Fanboy Factor, in conjunction with Will Eisner Studios.

Will Eisner Week, a celebration that promotes comics, graphic novel literacy and free speech, is held annually from March 1st to March 7th to honor the legacy of Will Eisner who is considered one of the most influential figures in the comic book arena with a legacy that continues today.

In celebration of Will Eisner Week, Fanwood Public Library will be hosting the presentation “An Introduction to Will Eisner.” Presented by Brian Isaacs, publisher of the comic news and review website Fanboy Factor, in conjunction with Will Eisner Studios, this presentation will discuss Eisner’s life and look at his work and how he still significant today.

The presentation will take place on March 5th at 7PM at the Fanwood Public Library, 5 Forest Rd, Fanwood, NJ 07023.

Will Eisner Week is an annual series of events celebrating comics and sequential art, graphic novel literacy, free speech, and the legacy of comics and graphic novel pioneer, Will Eisner (March 6, 1917-January 3, 2005), who is considered to be one of the most innovative figures in the history of comics and graphic novels. 

Will Eisner Week has occurred annually since 2009 in conjunction with Will Eisner’s birthday on March 6th. Its inaugural celebration in 2009 consisted of two events in New York City and has grown incrementally each subsequent year. In 2017, the Centennial of Will Eisner’s birth, there were over 100 in-person and online events held in cities throughout the United States and Internationally.
