“I became Moon Knight to battle evil wherever I could find it. And I never had to look farther than the darkness inside my own heart.”

The Story:  Moon Knight debuted in Werewolf By Night #32 in August of 1975. As a villain hired by The Committee to capture the title character the story carried over into issue #33. Moon Knight received his first ongoing series in 1980 with Doug Moench and Bill Sienkiewicz at the helm.  Moon Knight has had several stints in his own series and has continued success today. Rumors about a live-action version are always being talked about.

What’s in the box: Oh boy lots of goodies!  Two heads one masked one unmasked. Eight interchangeable hands one set of fists, one set of posing hands, one set of grabbing hands, and one set of throwing blade hands. Two hoods both are removable one is lowered to go with the non-facemask face. Weapons did someone say weapons. Yes, we have a nice arsenal. Included is one crescent blade, one staff, one set of nunchucks, and one grappling hook baton. Of course, included is the base and adjustable post.

The verdict: As usual I can’t speak highly enough about the great figures in the One:12 Collective. Moon Knight is another great hit and was a fun review to do. I was working with a 3d printer to design some photo-friendly props to go along with the figures to liven up the shots. The chair, the beer bottle and even the homage to Punisher fit well with this figure. Weapons with chain style links were a great addition to the weapons my only complaint is why only one crescent blade? Two would have been nice to have. The white costume well designed worried me about dirt and grime. I can see this getting dirty from dust quickly if not kept in a cabinet away from the elements of a household. I would not offer this to a gooey sticky handed kid to play with as it will not hold up against kid grime either lol. I get that its the comic-based costume and not the fault of Mezco as to why it is white. I would just say handle with care and wash your hands!

Grab him (gently with clean hands) while you can. He won’t stick around for long.
