“As of now, your little project is deader than disco!” ” Hmmm… Deader than disco… I like that… I would have made a great stand-up comedian.”

Instead of doing my usual backstory, I thought I would try something different. Since the new 6-inch line is not coming with file cards. I wanted to bring back that nostalgia with what I termed file card flashback. Each Joe review from now on will feature that characters classic file card enjoy.

COBRA LEADER

Code Name: COBRA COMMANDER

FILE NAME: (CLASSIFIED)

PRIMARY MILITARY SPECIALTY: Intelligence

SECONDARY MILITARY SPECIALTY: Ordinance (Experimental weaponry

BIRTHPLACE: (CLASSIFIED)                      GRADE: Commander-in-Chief

Absolute power! Total control of the world…  it’s people, wealth, and resources

-that’s the objective of COBRA COMMANDER. This fanatical leader rules with an iron fist. He demands total loyalty and allegiance. His main battle plan, for world control, relies on revolution and chaos. He personally led uprisings in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and other trouble spots. Responsible for kidnapping scientists, businessmen, and military leaders, then forcing them to reveal their top-level secrets.

“COBRA COMMANDER is hatred and evil personified. Corrupt. A man without scruples. Probably the most dangerous man alive!”

What’s in the box: 4 hands open hand, finger-pointing, fist. and gun holding, snakehead sword, pistol, and cape.

The Verdict:  This is one of my two favorite releases so far. They went above and beyond on detail down to the gold buttons tassels and snake emblems all over. The Snakeskin armor style clothing was a nice addition to the detail. This figure got the updated version he deserved however would have been an added bonus had they included a hooded head as well. Articulation is a plus and posing is such fun. He took a lot of abuse at my hands during posing and handled it well. Hand swaps were easy to do. Weapons were durable I do however miss the classic gun from the 80s but again with the updates, it was not a huge loss. I could not find any wrongs with this figure and with 3 versions being released one cannot go wrong chasing them all down. Hasbro brought back a line that deserved its spotlight. Now if you can find these at brick and mortar grab them! These will not last long on the shelves. Thank you Hasbro, from a long time Joe fan I am truly glad this line did not disappear. What are you waiting for? Get out there and hunt!
