Hellboy: Who are you calling a monster, pal? Have you looked in the mirror recently?

The Back Story: The project began as a sequel to Hellboy 2: The Golden Army but without Del Toro being apart of it Ron Perlman refused the role and it was turned into a reboot with David Harbour starring as Hellboy. Being compared to earlier films doomed the movie to bad reviews and a box office disappointment. Thankfully Mezco kept to making the Hellboy figure.

What’s in the Box:  We got a great deal of goodies in the box which include,  Right Hand of Doom with 3 interchangeable hands, removable Duster Coat, 2 custom guns, (one revolver, one handgun) both fit in the holster on Hellboy’s belt, gun case, horseshoe, and two head portraits. Signature stand.

The Verdict: The movie may have flopped but this figure is a hit. One should not pass up on getting this figure as he will not sit around long because there aren’t many Hellboy figures out there and to find one of this caliber is going to be a shot in the dark. I liked this figure from head to tail yes tail included and is poseable as well. Coat is removable which requires some patience in figuring out how to remove the right hand of doom as it will prevent it from coming off. The Revolver chamber spins a nice add on feature for realism. All around another great figure based off a movie and the attention to detail is as usual spectacular. This is a Hellboy’s fan must have although it may not be comic accurate it is still a bonus to add to any fans collection. My one complaint is no sword. Excalibur was featured in the movie and would have been a nice addition. Grab this guy before he’s gone forever.
