Once again, Big Apple Con proves why they last so long.

I always look forward to Big Apple Con. It’s definitely one of the more well-organized conventions I go to. Seriously, these guys have it down to a science. While there is a huge crowd, the organizers really keep things running smoothly. And this year was no exception.

The guests were great. Frank Miller, Ramona Fradon,  and Jim Lee from the comic world. Jon Bernthal and Elden Henson from Netflix’s Daredevil. And even legends like Barbara Eden, who still looks amazing.

The dealer’s room was filled with all types of dealers. From your standard comic and toy sellers. To more eclectic vendor with Urban Vinyl or cosplay items.

But most important, the panels and programming.  I took my 4-year-old son and he had a blast with the Empire Saber Guild Padawan Training Institute. Learning how to be a Jedi. There was an interesting documentary on comic books entitled Comix: Beyond the Comic Book Pages which really looked great.

It’s just amazing how the staff for Big Apple Con is just able to pack all these things into one weekend.

I can’t wait until the next time around!

Well, that voice has been shared and evolved into The Fanboy Factor. Brian is an advocate for remembering comic roots, and that we don't forget what was created in the past, and encourage everyone to read it as well. When not swimming in geek culture, he can be seen corrupting..introducing his young son to comics, much to his wife's chagrin.
