I was able to get a copy of the Zeta Project for the DVD Season 1 (2001) and 2 (2003).  It was great seeing the world of Batman Beyond again (since this is what Zeta Project was based off).  This brought back a lot of memories from my childhood.

The DVD extra had the making of Zeta Project, which consisted of the Bob Goodman Creator/producer, Joe Kuhr Writer, Julie Nathanson who played Ro in the series, Rich Fogel writer, Alan Burnett executive producer, Liz Holzman producer/director.  They are all talking about how the series Zeta Project was born from a Batman Beyond episode called Zeta and how Julie Nathanson was able to get the role as Zeta friend.  It was great seeing how one episode was able to make a spin-off.

If you never saw Zeta Project, but love Batman Beyond this will satisfy you and make you wish for more seasons.  The show is about a robot built by the government to be a killer but somehow decided not to kill and go on the run.  Think of short circuit meets the fugitive in the future trying to find his maker to prove he has changed.  It’s nice seeing the many ways Zeta avoids the government (even though one is a bumbling fool).

These are the name of the Episodes from both seasons : “The Accomplice ” (which I Loved) “His Maker’s Name” “Change of Heart”  “Remote Control”  “The Next Gen”(Which had another killer robot that Zeta had to stop) “West Bound” “Hicksburg” “Shadows” (which feature batman beyond  and the killer robot again) “Crime Waves” “Taffy Time” “Ro’s Reunion”(where Ro has to choose between Zeta or her brother)  “Kid Genius” “Absolute Zero”

“Wired: Part 1”  “Wired: Part 2” “Hunt in the Hub” “Ro’s Gift” “Quality Time” “Resume Mission”(the killer robot returns )  “Lost and Found”  “On the Wire”(where Ro finally meets her brother)  “Cabin Pressure”  “The Wrong Morph”  “Eye of the Storm”  ,”The River Rising”  “The Hologram Man”  The ones I made comments on are my favorited episodes of the show.  I wish it would have continued since it was one of the few DCU shows I really love.

Zeta Project Season 1 and Season 2 are available in stores now.

  1. Hi zdmack I don’t understand what you don’t agree with. But about Batman beyond movie I’ve been hearing about since Batman beyond ended the closest that we the fans got was Batman beyond the return of the joker, yes I heard about a live action one for a while but so far nothing yet has came out.
