Diamond Select brings back the Muppets for the third time!

Diamond Select has released series 3 in their Muppets Select line, and they just keep getting better.

This time around we get:

  • Miss Piggy, Penguin & Foofoo
  • Floyd & Janice
  • Rowlf, Crazy Harry & Mahna Mahna

Once again, an amazing amount of articulation here. Most of them have about 13 POA, while others have only 5 POA, but no real complaints here. All the figures are very easily poseable and can stand on their own.

First up is Miss Piggy, Penguin, & Foofoo. Piggy is a great sculpt. It really looks like the Muppet version. It almost looks flocked which is really impressive. Her dog Foofoo doesn’t have any articulation. Just kind of an accessory, but none the less really cool. The penguin really doesn’t have a name. He’s just one of these background Muppets, but still neat. She also comes with a magazine with Piggy on it, a star for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and a framed picture of Kermit. You could put these on a little dressing table for her if you wanted to.

Next is Floyd & Janice. Two members of the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem band. These 2 are just awesome. I love they can look like they playing their instruments.  They also come with a light on a stand, 2 mics and stands, sheet music, a tambourine, and a poster with stand for Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem.

Finally my personal favorite, Rowlf, Crazy Harry & Mahna Mahna. Second to Kermit, Rowlf is my favorite Muppet. I always felt he was the closest to Jim Henson’s personality. Mahna Mahna is a great touch, and just in case you don’t know who he is:

Catchy isn’t it? Great touch here. And last is Crazy Harry. While Harry is a great sculpt I’m greatly disappointed he didn’t come with is trademark dynamite plunger. With all the accessories, I just can’t understand why not this important prop. (Personally, I have the feeling Disney is trying to be Disney) As for the other accessories, this set comes with a piano, a candelabra, a bust of Beethoven, and sheet music.

Overall series 3 is a great continuation of the Muppet Select figures. Perfect for every Muppet fan!
