The characters from Pulp Fiction get the action figure treatment.

To many Pulp Fiction is considered one of the best films made. It won several awards and was nominated for several Academy Awards. Let’s not forget the huge impact Pulp Fiction has had on pop culture. So the only question is why it took so long to get action figures based on this film.

I’m so glad that Diamond Select got the license to produce action figures. They were all sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios and they are just amazing.

Series 1 includes Jules Winnfield, Marsellus Wallace, and Butch Coolidge.

Starting off with Jules, he’s dressed in his iconic suit. He has a nice head sculpt that almost looks Samuel L Jackson. There are about 16 points of articulation. He comes with several accessories. In his right hand, he can hold either the infamous briefcase or a gun. In his left hand, he can hold a drink, a burger, or a half-eaten burger. He also comes with the wall and floor of the apartment where he gets the briefcase. This is where the devil is in the details. There are bullet holes in the wall. Extremely impressive.

Next is Marsellus. Again 16 points of articulation. The figure does look like Ving Rhames, right down to the band-aid on the back of his neck. He also comes with a gun that fits well in his left hand. He also comes with a box of doughnuts and two cups of coffee. Finally, he comes with a piece of sidewalk. He stands very nicely on it.

Finally, there is Butch. 16 point of articulation and looks like Bruce Willis. He also comes with a second right hand that he can fight the samurai sword in. Butch also comes with a piece of sidewalk. This piece attaches to Marsellus piece so you can place the figures next to each other.

Seeing how these are series 1, I’m optimistic that there will be a series 2, hopefully with a Vincent Vega figure.

Many thanks to Diamond Select for sending these to us to take a look at.

These are great for any Pulp Fiction or Quentin Tarantino, then these are a must-have for you. You can pick them up at your local comic shop or buy them directly from Diamond Select.

  1. Wow somebody goofed! Jules didn’t carry a Desert Eagle. His weapon of choice was a 9mm Star Model B visual similarity to the .45 ACP 1911 series (like Vincent’s Auto-Ordnance M1911A1) Hopefully they’ll remember to check the Internet Movie Firearms Database next time!

  2. Another goof! Marsellus Wallace carried a Smith & Wesson 4506. Did Diamond Select get a bargain on left over Desert Eagles somewhere?????????
