And I, Jack, the Pumpkin King Have grown so tired of the same old thing

Pumpkin King” is Jack Skellington’s title which makes him the Master of Ceremonies of Halloween in Halloween town. At the beginning of Nightmare Before Christmas Jack is seen hanging and dressed as a scarecrow with a pumpkin mask pointing the way to Halloween Town.

Diamond Select released The Silver anniversary deluxe action figure The Pumpkin King.  What makes these unique is not only do they come with several accessories such as the Halloween Town sign and a torch with realistic flame look, but his outfit is made of cloth material as well.  Also included is a stand and base for posing him as to mimic the opening scene of the movie.  The package is also coffin shaped.

Overall a great figure for fans of the movie his look is spot on the character. Posing proved to be a bit difficult as I had issues with the arms not staying on this could have been caused by me pulling him out (not a fan of the new things that hold the character in the package). Durability aside from the arms proved to be well done. I wouldn’t recommend playing with him for kids they are more of a collector’s item.

Next up for the Silver anniversary is the Mayor of Halloween town.  As a politician, he is considered two-faced which in fact is true. Along with his tall top hat spider web necktie, he also has two faces a happy and a sad face depending on which mood he is in. His suit jacket is made of cloth. Accessory included is a spotlight after all what politician doesn’t like the spotlight. Yes, it is a working light the switch is in the back and you use the handle to flip it on or off.

Overall this is a great figure as well. Although this one is more durable than Jack I would still handle with caution. The spotlight is powered by two small watch batteries and are replaceable. Attention to detail in the costume is great right down to the ribbon that says Mayor on it.

The price is 50 dollars a figure well worth it as you’re paying for quality figures because of the cloth outfits which proved to be very durable against handling. I personally recommended them to several friends who are huge fans of the movie so go grab yours before they sell out.  Next Up will be Jack and Sally! Stay Tuned!
