The Nineteenth season of The Simpsons is finally here! Originally aired on television from September 23rd, 2007 to May 18th, 2008. This season consisted of 20 episodes. This was the first season after the Simpsons movie. The 4 disc set includes the complete nineteenth season, A Plea For Sanity by Matt Groenig, special language features, and thank you audio commentary on every single episode with writers, actors, and directors. Among some of the guest cast includes Stephen Colbert, Lionel Ritchie, Alan Moore, Jack Black, and many others.What really can be said about the Simpsons, it is one of the most iconic and long-running series. Having first appeared on The Tracey Ullman Show as animated shorts eventually after 3 seasons they got their own half-hour show and continue to entertain fans to this day.
With twenty episodes it’s hard to pick a favorite but I’m always partial to Halloweens Treehouse of Horror. Starting with ET Go Home Bart befriends an alien only to discover he wants to take over the world. Mr. and Mrs. Simpson (a play on Mr. and Mrs. Smith). Homer is tasked with taking out Kent Brockman but Marge gets there first. Last but certainly not the least Heck House which features everyone’s favorite neighbor Flanders is recruited by the town to teach the Simpson kids a lesson.
I could spend all day talking about season 19 and the 20 episodes, but why not just run out and get it for yourself. Simpsons withstand the test of time and will continue to entertain for years to come. Grab it and look forward to hours of mindless fun.
