Robin gets added to the DC Comic Gallery Diorama line

I love the character of Robin and for the longest time, Dick Grayson was my Robin. My first introduction to Robin was Dick Grayson and Dick was the first Robin I read in comics. When Dick finally became Nightwing, I was a little bummed that Batman didn’t have a Robin. Jason Todd really didn’t do anything for me. In his first appearances, Jason was a Dick clone,  and later a punk. And then came the one worthy of the title of Robin: Tim Drake. Tim is the perfect compliment to Batman and he still is. Now if DC would wise up and kill off Damian Wayne and make Tim again, I’d be happy. But I digress.

Diamond Select Toys have given us an incredible diorama based on Tim’s tenure as Robin.

The diorama was designed by Shawn Knapp and sculpted by Joe Menna, and it shows Robin in mid-arc around a smokestack. It’s really an impressive pose. Really looks cool. This sculpt is truly incredible and the paint job on it seriously just pops! It’s really a dynamic diorama.

I really have no complaints with the diorama at all. The only complaint I have is with the packaging. On the back of the box is a bio of Tim Drake, but there’s a picture of Damian as Robin right there. I don’t understand how that mix up happened. But the diorama is so nice, why would you even keep it in the box.

I already have the Nightwing diorama and this Robin one is a really nice companion to it.

Bottom line, you need this for your collection. It’s just so beautiful!

Many thanks to Diamond Select Toys for letting us check this out!
