It is known in the world of Science Fiction and Comic Book Fans that Doctor Who fans are loyal fans. They’re even loyal to Doctor Who parodies and spoofs, especially to the Doctor Who-like parody “Inspector Spacetime” that appears on the NBC TV show “Community.”

Travis Richey, who plays the Inspector, credits Doctor Who fans for bringing the good time/space traveler beyond the confines of the NBC television show. Thanks to a successful crowd funding campaign, he was able to bring Inspector to life in AN UNTITLED WEB SERIES ABOUT A SPACE TRAVELER WHO CAN ALSO TRAVEL THROUGH TIME. You can see season one here.

Richey talks with Fanboy Factor about his new funding campaign and working with a real Doctor Who – Sylvester McCoy in a motion picture about the Inspector. He will also be working with another famous science fiction TV doctor – Robert Picardo (STAR TREK VOYAGER), still another famous television doctor – Mayim Bialik (BIG BANG THEORY, BLOSSOM…also Amy Farrah Fowler is a doctor!) and the beautiful Chase Masterson (STAR TREK DEEP SPACE NINE).

We also discuss how the great Doctor Who comic book writer Tony Lee is in the process of writing a comic book about the Inspector.

But in the meantime, to be a part of his new motion picture campaign, click here.

Special thanks to Lee Fitzsimmons for use of his music and all images courtesy of Travis Richey.
