Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is in early talks to play Aquaman’s arch-nemesis, Black Manta.
The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who appeared in Netlfix’s The Get Down, is in talks to play Black Manta in the upcoming Aquaman, to be directed by James Wan.
Black Manta is a notorious pirate and assassin. He is one of the most ruthless and feared supervillains on Earth, and Aquaman’s mortal enemy. He even killed Aquaman’s son, which caused a long standing grudge between himself and Aquaman.
