This issue we find out Hazels experience in the Ether, and wow we thought Boone had a bad time of it!
Hazel stumbled upon Ether as a child after unlocking a portal at her grannies where she stayed most Summers and loved being there. As Hazel landed she met Glum who of course ‘transferred’ her to the city gates to await quarantine. Being the young child that she was her curiosity wouldn’t let her wait so she entered the city to have a look about which lead her into the hands of Ubel and that is somewhere you DO NOT want to be!!
When Glum finds out what Ubel has done he rushes to help and obviously blames himself for what Hazel went through and gives a little detail why he hates Ubel so much. Back in the real world Hazels life has gone to ruin, its been 5 years she has been gone and everything has changed and is tough going for a long time until she meets Boone and in him, she finds someone who actually believes her!
There is some secret in Hazel’s ancestry that Ubel hinted at in this issue which has me intrigued, did her granny escape from the Ether? What was her role that made her legendary?
