So you talk to fish?
Aquaman made his first appearance in Fun Comic #73 in November 1941. Creators Paul Norris and Mort Weisinger brought him to life for DC Comics. A Human-Atlantean Hybrid the original character was able to speak to and control fish along with other sea creatures in their own language up to a minute and within a distance of 20 yards. Later he was given more grit and edge making him less likely to be joked about from his appearance in Super Friends television show.
What better way to show off the edgier Arthur Curry than similarity from Justice League movie. Played by actor Jason Momoa the spitting image to him is uncanny. The outfit is true to the Aquaman movie likeness down to the armor, and Trident. 8 hands and the mother box are also included in the accessories. All around posing although hindered by the armor the multiple points of articulation make action posing fairly easy.
Whether you loved or hated the movie the figure is spot on overall quality is great. I would have liked to see more accessories like the winter coat, possibly a light up mother box even water effects for the torpedoing through the water. As I said earlier although the articulation is hindered by the armor without it would be too plain looking and boring. With the Aquaman stand-alone movie releasing later this year we should see more of him hopefully soon. If you’re looking to complete your Justice League set definitely grab him. Price is 80 dollars a fair price point for the Mezco figures but don’t sit on it they will be gone quickly.
