Pop Sensation Lights Reveals Panel and Book Signing

Pop sensation Lights is headed to New York Comic-Con to promote her new graphic novel, Skin&Earth

Friday morning, October 5, Lights will join international producer/DJ and entrepreneur Steve Aoki, Hip Hop Legend Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, and rock star Andy Biersack of the Black Veil Brides for a panel discussing their transition from musicians to comic book creators, the creative process, personal comic fandom and details on projects debuting at 2018 New York Comic Con.

The panel will be moderated by SyFy’s Mike Avila, an Emmy Award-winning journalist who has covered comics, film, and tv and hosts the comic book interview series “Behind The Panel.”

Following the panel, Lights will have an exclusive book signing on the show floor at New York Comic Con at the Toynk booth #2164 from 12:30-1:30 PM.

“I’m so thrilled to be coming to New York Comic Con, just a year after the release of the first ever issue of Skin&Earth,” remarked author and artist Lights. “I spent a good two years of my life writing, drawing and building this world and bringing this series to life, and New York Comic Con is a hugely rewarding opportunity to celebrate these works we love and care about so much.”

Skin&Earth is a story of a girl looking for hope in a hopeless world. Caught between romance and cults, gods and mortals, and just trying to find a good borscht, Enaia Jin is lead down a dark path by new lovers that reveals a twisted fantasy world and her own true nature.

Skin&Earth collects all six issues of the acclaimed comic book series along with variant art from Jim Lee, Joby Harris, Derek Lewis, Gianna Rose, and Matt Mitchell and an all-new introduction from Lights as well as custom interactive share codes to access the full album, music videos and other bonus content. Skin & Earth ties directly into her full-length album, released in Fall 2017.

Lights breakout comic series Skin&Earth is slated for television, digital and gaming adaptation through global entertainment company eOne.
