It’s one of the fastest reading comics on the stands, it’s Cemetary Beach #6 from Image.

Written by Warren Ellis and drawn and coloured by Jason Howard, this comic takes only a few minutes to read (seriously) but will pick up your pulse throughout.

It’s a grand chase adventure, with wall to wall action, yelling, and explosions. There’s no need to overanalyze this; the story is about 2 soldiers trying to get somewhere, and a bunch of soldiers trying to stop them.

Really, this is a lot of fun. Some of the best, most kinetic artwork this side of Sean Murphy, and a racing feel to the pace of the story. Never mind the gym or the coffee: Put down your cell phone right now and leap feet first into this, the second last issue, before it’s too late!

Image Comics, Cemetary Beach #6, $3.99 for 22 pages of non-stop content. Mature

After a career of graphic design, art direction and copywriting, I still have a passion for words and pictures. I love it when a comic book comes together; the story is tight, and the drawings lead me forward. Art with words... the toughest storytelling technique to get right. Was this comic book worth your money? Let's see!!
