LA has a serious monster problem, luckily Kate Strand is at hand to deal with them.
I really enjoyed this comic I love that the monsters are just a day to day problem and not the main focus of the story. Kates battles with the monsters look amazing, some pretty graphic scenes but with a little humour in there as well. The artwork as a whole is incredible, the level of detail is insane Kate’s messy room looks lived in and I particularly enjoyed the expression of the monster head in the freezer.
As good a hunter Kate is she makes a horrible roommate and I think Vera handles it like a saint especially as she is also dealing with an independent youngster who quite clearly knows her own mind and adores the exciting life of her ‘Auntie’ Kate. It’s going to be interesting to see how the dynamics continue and which one pushes vera to breaking point first.
The competition between Kate and Javelin looks like it will be a whole lot of fun if both go after the big 7 monsters or possibly even team up to take them on. Exciting times ahead for sure.
