So, when I first saw Archer tv commercial I thought no way am I going to watch that show.  And now after watching season 9, I want to see all the other episodes.

In the DVD it has 2 extras in it.  The title for this season is called Archer:  Danger Island.  Archer: Danger Island is about an alcoholic seaplane pilot, Sterling Archer working on a lush South Pacific island of Mitimotu in 1939. While the rest of the world is concerned about the impending Second World War, Archer is only concerned with who’s buying his next drink. Along with his trusty co-pilot Pam, Sterling must navigate quicksand, cannibals, super-intelligent monkeys, poison darts and pirates.

The Episodes are 1 “Strange Pilot”, 2 “Disheartening Situation”, 3 “Different Modes of Preparing the Fruit”, 4 “A Warrior in Costume”, 5 “Strange Doings in the Taboo Groves”, 6 “Some Remarks on Cannibalism”, 7 “Comparative Wickedness of Civilized and Unenlightened Peoples”, 8 “A Discovery”.

The extra is; Inside look: Making Archer parts 1,2,3,4. And Crackers’ costumed playings.  Inside look: Making Archer Amber Nash who plays Pam Poovey and Lucky Yates who plays Crackers takes a tour through the making of how Archer is made.  Inside look: Making Archer part 1 Pam and Lucky meet up with Matt Thompson (executive producer), Megan Johnson (animation director), Chad Hurd (art director) and Casey Willis (co-executive producer) to introduce the Archer behind the scenes.  Inside look: Making Archer part 2 Justin Wagner (associate art director/ storyboard supervisor), Chad Hurd (art director), Taylor Parrish (lead storyboard artist), Christian Danley (editor) and Pierre Gerrato (producer/editor) explain how it goes from storyboard to the VO editors.  Inside look: Making Archer part 3 Courtney Hicks (storyboard artist/ Sr. illustrator), Eric Warren (storyboard artist/illustrator), Amanda Todd (associate illustration director/ Sr. Illustrator), Fernando Vazquez (illustration director), Megan Johnson (animation director) and Yûsuke Satô (lead animator) Talk about how from taking photos for reference and using it to make the animation. And how the animation team using adobe after effects is used for animation the show.  Inside look: Making Archer part 4 Chaz Zoubek (Sr. illustrator/animation coordinator/ costumes and styling), Diego Penuela (bkgd. Director/painter) and Chris Appel (3d animation director/ lead 3d artist) talk about another program called Harmony to animated some of the other scenes and how the 3d animator do the background animation.  Crackers’ costumed playings are cracker trying on different costumes for San Diego comic con.
