The quest continues and the group comes up against their first real challenge!
I love this little band of misfits, they each have their own little quirks that make them likable, Styrian is cocky and witty, I love the Devils son apologizing as he kills people and Rekala, well Rekala is incredible! I loved her response when asked why she is a called the skin eater “because I eat skin” and is said so matter of factly! she is just a brilliant character in a brilliant story.
I like how still no one really trusts anybody else yet but they work so well together that I think if they can just bear to be around each other they just might get through it. I wonder if Ash fancies Rekala as they seem to be really getting along despite her unique culinary tastes? Maybe he just sees how awesome a character she is but it feels like they have a proper connection.
I’m sure that before the end there will be a lot more obstacles to overcome and it will be interesting to see if the team become closer through combat or if it drives them further apart and if they come to rely on each other or not. A really good issue and a brilliant comic run so far
