A school for the gifted with hidden secrets and an alumni hell-bent on righting a wrong!
This is a pretty hard-hitting comic, it covers a lot of sensitive topics and how Amber Blake deals with them. Amber has not had an easy life abandoned and raised in an orphanage only to thrive there and form a strong friendship that propelled both girls into school for the gifted. And then the trouble starts!
I really liked the premise of this comic, it was a little gappy in the story but not enough to really be an issue as it twists and turns its way through Ambers life. Who is friendly and who isn’t changes all the time and of course who Amber can trust changes with it as she navigates the lives of seedy men while trying to avenge a friend’s untimely death. You are definitely kept on your toes on as to who to root for and who knows more than they are showing.
Amber is unfaltering in her mission, every piece of training, every shred of knowledge learned is used in some way to get her towards her final goal and who needs to pay for what happened to her.
A brilliant piece of revenge crime-fighting that keeps you intrigued until the end!
